Sugar Scrub Do It Yourself for Less
Those expensive sugar scrubs you see in department stores and spas cost pennies to make! Sugar scrubs are a simple beauty recipe with countless variations, and they can be incredibly moisturizing and exfoliating to the skin. We wanted to find you a Do It Yourself Sugar Scrub that you could make for so much less than buying it the store and you can use your favorite aromas to make it! These sugar scrubsare an excellent exfoliator and super fun and easy to make at home. If you are making this as a gift, a DIY (Do It Yourself) can be a personal way to show you care, and can be helpful too if you're on a budget. Making this sugar scrub for yourself is a fantastic way to put your creative juices into action and it only requires a few ingredients. This is what you’ll need:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Oil
  • Cranberry Fragrance Oil (Used 4-6 drops)
  • Red food coloring (This is optional. Use 6-8 drops, use more for a deeper color or none at all if you’d like.)
  1. Melt your coconut oil on the stove top or in the microwave.
  2. Combine all ingredients and stir. You’ll want the sugar to be wet but not soupy. If too much coconut oil is used, the mixture will solidify too much once the coconut oil returns to room temperature.
Use this is the shower or bath, you will fall in love with it’s sweet scent and how soft it leaves my skin. Here is a link to a Cranberry Sugar Scrub label perfect to add to your container!
