Homemade Body Butter Recipe

This homemade body butter recipe can make the best holiday gift for your friends, co-workers, loved ones, neighbors and anyone who likes to have soft wonderful smelling skin. So, get creative and make a few different batches with different fragrances. Make one thats a floral one that's delicate like *Rose and a holiday one like *Snickerdoodle or *Pine. Ingredients:
  • 1 cup of Shea Butter
  • 1/2 cup of Coconut Oil
  • 1/2 cup of Jojoba Oil
  • 30 drops of Fragrance Oil
Instructions: 1. Combine the Shea butter and Coconut oil in a double boiler and heat until melted.
2. Allow to cool for 30-40 minutes. It should still be slightly warm and melted. 3. Add the jojoba oil and fragrance oils. Start with 30 drops and add more to your preference. You can split it into two bowls and one batch 2 different fragrances. 4. Place the bowl in the freezer for 20-30 minutes until fairly solid. 5. Whip the solid mixture with your kitchen mixer for 5-8 minutes until it reaches the consistency of butter. Scrape the sides periodically with a spatula and continue whipping until it’s all mixed together.
6. Place it in a container and enjoy! I use glass jelly jars from Hobby Lobby, but you can use any plastic or glass container you have. I prefer glass, but it’s not necessary. Store in a cool, dry place and enjoy! Our Homemade Body Butter Recipe really creates a lotion that feels so wonderful and replenishing on skin. That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.” -Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare Take a stroll through an elegant English rose garden with this delightful Rose Garden oil fragrance. The heart of the fragrance is a sumptuous bouquet of roses, with nuances of carnation and a base note of soft lingering musk. *Snickerdoodle- Snicker Doodles are an all-time-favorite drop cookie topped with cinnamon sugar, and have been cited in print from at least 1889. This Oil Fragrance is reminiscent of this freshly baked cookie, still warm from the oven. It delights with top notes of buttercream maple, nutmeg and toasted walnut, having cinnamon, cocoa and cherry mid notes settle into the sweetness of vanilla and silky tonka bean. *Pine- This Pine Needle oil fragrance is elevating and refreshing, a strong, clean Pine aroma. It is bound to take your senses on a walk through a Christmas tree farm or a hike through a dense Pine forest.
